Buyers will be willing to pay a little more than they budgeted and accommodate your closing requirements, because there is no other home like this one. A great first impression is a powerful selling tool! There are a number of steps you can take to prepare your home for sale. They include de-cluttering, cleaning, painting, repairing, de-personalizing, and de-cluttering again. - De-cluttering is often the least expensive and the most effective way to prepare your home for sale. Clutter turns most buyers off. That means getting rid of everything you can live without. - Clean, clean, clean everything! Clear kitchen countertops, pack up those personal photos and arrange the furniture to obtain the most open feeling. - Make a point of painting prior to selling. Put yourself in the buyer’s position. Bright or bold colors can often leave buyers with negative thoughts toward your home. Use soft neutral colors like off-white. Lighter colored walls make rooms look bigger and freshes up the look. - Missing any knobs from drawers or light bulbs burnt out?
